Juventino Najera, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, at the age of 83, in Abilene, Texas. Born on August 13, 1942, Juventino was a proud member of the community and made a lasting impact through his work and family life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lydia Najera, and a large extended family that includes his children: Cosme and spouse Ester Perez of Abilene, Margie Stone of Haskell, Danny and spouse Belinda Perez of Troup, TX, Annie Ruiz of Dallas, Gilbert and spouse Nina Perez of Abilene, Jaunita Najera of Dallas, and Juven and spouse Melissa Najera of Tuscola. Juventino was the proud grandfather of 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Juventino is also survived by his siblings: Juan Najera, Jamie Najera, Mario Najera, and Livia Najera Arango, who will cherish his memory along with countless friends and family members.
Juventino, a talented mason by trade, found joy in his work, leaving behind a legacy that can be seen throughout Abilene. He retired three times but continued to pursue his passion for masonry, a true testament to his God-given talent. Beyond his professional life, Juventino loved spending time with his family and tending to his yard, showcasing his dedication to both hard work and nurturing his loved ones.
Visitation will be Wednesday November 12, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on November 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM. The service will take place at Elmwood Funeral Home 5750 HWY 277 South, Abilene, TX 79606, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Juventino's life and legacy.
Juventino Najera will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and his remarkable contributions to his community. He will be deeply missed.
