Julian C. Borrego, 72, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023 in Abilene, Texas. A visitation will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 7:00 PM on Monday, August 21, 2023 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 22, 2023 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

Julian C. Borrego, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, in Abilene, Texas. He was born on June 28, 1951, in Laredo, Texas, to Salvador and Veronica Borrego. Julian spent his early years in Laredo before the family relocated to Trent, Texas. A true Texan at heart, Julian embraced the outdoors and found joy in activities such as fishing and riding motorcycles. His vibrant and personable nature made forming friendships seem effortless, endearing him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He was a dedicated member of the Knight of Columbus, embodying their values of charity and service. Julian's willingness to lend a helping hand knew no bounds, and his commitment to his community was unwavering. He cherished the moments spent with family, holding them close to his heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Maryann Borrego; his sister, Senaida Carrasco; and two brothers, Gabriel Borrego, and Santiago Borrego.

Julian is survived by Patti Alpaugh; daughters, Jennifer, Jessica, and Erica; five grandchildren; two brothers, Jose Borrego and wife Juana, and Salvador Borrego Jr. and wife Juana; stepson, Anthony Alpaugh and wife Alexis Miles; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
