Mrs. Julia Ann Jones Stevenson - Taylor was born April 14, 1926 in Cameron Texas. She married Sam Stevenson who preceded her in death. She later remarried Robert Taylor who preceded her in death.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, Abilene, Texas. Visitation, Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas. Burial will follow at the Abilene Municipal Cemetery, Cedar Hill Flat Section, North 10TH and Cottonwood.

We know these times are difficult due to the COVID-19, but we want you to know the family appreciates your love and support but encourages everyone to remain safe and healthy so please wear your mask at the visitation and during the funeral service.

Mrs. Julia Taylor (Stevenson) was a faithful and devoted member of Bethel Church of God in Christ for over 60 years. She served as Church Mother, Sunday School Teacher, and she also provided tremendous support in guidance with the Youth Department. Her life centered around God, Family, Friends and Church.

She was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother.

She passed from earth into eternity, Tuesday morning, November 24, 2020 and with Family by her side when she heard the voice of God calling her to rest.

Julia was preceded in death by (2) daughters, Joyce Ann Stevenson-Harness, Mary Ann Stevenson, (3) sons, Bobby Stevenson, Howard Stevenson and Sam Stevenson Jr., (2) sisters, Viola Moore and Evelyn Smith, (3) brothers, Dave Jones, Charles Jones, and Lorenzo Jones. She also preceded in death by her mother and father, (1) Granddaughter Rene Stevenson and (1) Great Granddaughter Ashley Stevenson and (3) Grandsons Dexter, Melvin, and Alonso Lise

She leaves to mourn her passing (2) Sons, Billy Stevenson (Jan) of Abilene, Texas, Shaine Stevenson (Lynee) of Arizona, (3) Daughters Zetta Lise of Fort Worth, Texas, Sandra Scruggs (Willie) of New York, Cynthia Washington ( Alvin) of Arizona, Host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren and a Host of other families and friends.
