Joe D. Vinson, 63, of Potosi died Friday, February 6, 2009 in Lubbock. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 13th in the Potosi Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South.
Joe was a 1964 graduate of Wylie High School, served in the National Guard and was an independent cattle buyer and rancher.
Survivors include his mother, Mattie Vinson of Potosi; three daughters, Kelly Morgan of Dallas, Toni Harvey of Abilene and Tara Deatherage of Waller, Texas; seven grandchildren, a sister, Sue Reeh of Waelder, Texas and numerous other relatives and friends.
His father, Roscoe Vinson preceded him in death.
