On October 18, 1982, in Abilene, Texas, God presented to Jesse and Fifi Rosales a precious baby boy. He attended Abilene Independent School District and graduated from Cooper High School in 2001.

During middle school, Jesse discovered his love for music as a member of the percussion section, where he played the quads. His passion for music continued throughout his adult life as he played in several different bands. Jesse also enjoyed giving back by volunteering his time to teach beginners how to play the drums, sharing his love of music and encouraging others to discover their own talents.

At the age of 16, Jesse began working alongside his father in his dad’s auto glass business. What began as a young man helping his father would become his lifelong career. Jesse never left his dad’s side, and the bond they shared through their work was something truly special.

Jesse was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman who loved spending time outside. He had a great appreciation for his guns and enjoyed the adventures that came with hunting and fishing. He was very proud of processing his own game from his own farm and turned it into a delicious course. He was also a cycling enthusiast and enjoyed the freedom and excitement that came with being on two wheels. On his tours he made sure no one was left behind. Jesse was also a very talented photographer.

Jesse was passionate about making a difference in his community. He served as president of Jerrin’s Hope, an organization dedicated to helping fight the battle against fentanyl deaths among children and young people in the community. Through this work, Jesse sought to bring awareness, support families, and help protect the lives of others.

Those who knew Jesse will remember him for his unique style and larger-than-life personality. He was sleek, smooth, and glossy due to his caps and tshirts. Always such a handsome guy that loved big. Jesse had a tender heart and a genuine kindness that made him a friend to everyone. He was the kind of person who could make others feel welcome, and his caring spirit left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Chilo and Minga Rosales, and Rufus and Connie Palacios; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jesse is survived by his parents, Jesse and Severita Rosales; his wife, Whitney Rosales; his brothers from another mother, Brian Willcockson, and Randell Gossett; numerous aunts, and uncles; and in his words thousands and thousands of cousins.

Jesse was truly one good guy. He loved his family, his friends, his work, his music, and the many passions that made him who he was. His presence brought laughter, friendship, and love to the lives around him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. One of Jesse’s last messages to his family were “I don’t need a hilltop or the mountains. Hell, I don’t even wanna be by the sea. Just put me somewhere on my farm and let me be me. Scatter me if you want. Just let me be free.”
