Jack Crawford

August 24, 1938 — September 22, 2024

Jack V Crawford, 86, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, in Abilene, Texas. He was born on August 24, 1938, in Ranger, Texas to his father N B and mother Laura Crawford.

Jack dedicated 3 years of his life to serve in the Army. A dedicated man, Jack spent years working in the oil fields, rolling up his sleeves in a profession that demanded resilience and hard work. While Jack was an oil company consultant in the Philippines, he met the love of his life Marietta. Outside of work, Jack had a passion for leisure and family life. He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys play, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time fishing or gathered with loved ones. Family was central to Jack's life, and he treasured every moment spent with them, building memories that would last a lifetime. Jack was a man who remained perpetually positive, never harboring anger, embodying the essence of kindness in every interaction. Many would proclaim him as "the nicest person you would ever meet," a proud title that he wore with grace. Throughout his life Jacks love for the Lord grew stronger and stronger.

He is survived by his wife, Marietta Crawford; his sons, Billy Joe Crawford and wife Coleen, Jonathan Silverio and wife Ria; his grandchildren, Amari Crawford, Franco Silverio, Alfonso Silverio, Taylor Crawford, James K Crawford; his brother, Joe Crawford and wife Lillian; his sister; Glenda Dover and husband Jay; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, N B Crawford; his mother, Laura Crawford; his son, James Crawford.

Jack will be dearly missed by all who have had the privilege of knowing him.
