Tribute to My Mother
My mother lived a life full of warmth, strength, and joy. Today I celebrate everything she was and all that she gave me. I feel sorrow for her passing and at the same time I feel immense gratitude for the woman who built the foundation of my world.
I celebrate her laugh that could brighten a room. I celebrate her kindness which she gave freely to everyone she touched. Mostly I celebrate her strength, steady and unwavering which taught me to stand tall and follow your own path and overcome the obstacles that come up.
My mother's love showed up in a thousand small ways, some obvious and some not so obvious. She gave me guidance, she taught me patience, she encouraged me, and she corrected me if I started to stray. I'll carry those gifts forever and they will help me in my every decision that I make and always be embedded in the values that I carry with me.
Today I am sad as I say goodbye to my mother and my friend. I deeply appreciate all that she gave me. I celebrate the life she lived because it's an example for me to follow. I will continue to honor her through the way I live my life. I pledge to pay forward all that she gave me.
I hope you can celebrate with me.
