Isidro Juarez Rosales

Isidro Juarez Rosales 68 passed away on Sunday May 10, 2026, in Abilene, Texas.

Isidro was born on August 15, 1957, in Abilene, Texas to his parents Ysidro Rosales and Dominga Rosales. He was very committed to his wife Barbara Rosales whom he married on August 30,1974.

A talented musician, Isidro was well known for playing the trumpet with bands like "Cande Flores and the Old School Band" and "Tejano Flashback." He also shared his love for music as a DJ with "Tejano Groove and Company."

Isidro worked for Bonke Brothers for over 30 years in construction as a foreman pouring concrete. Known for his quick wit and infectious humor, Isidro made friends easily and possessed a beautiful smile that could light up any room. Isidro was a great father and provider who always wanted to be involved in his children's activities and helped keep the family close. He shared a special bond with his grandson, Dycin, who affectionately called him "Daddy Pa." Isidro was a guiding presence in Dycin's life and took great pride in his football career.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Rosales; his daughter, Danielle Rosales and husband Charles Horton; his son, Ysidro Jimmy Rosales; his daughter, Reagan Rosales; his grandchildren, Krista, Xavier, Zackariah, Priscilla, Mayllanna, Arriana, Lacy, Savannah, Nevaeh, Daniel, Dycin, Cecily, Caelen; his 8 great grandchildren; his siblings, Manuela, Terry, Jesse, Sona, Avelino; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Dominga Juarez; his father, Ysidro Rosales; his daughter, Sona Rosales; his son, Sonny Rosales; his brothers, David Rosales and Abraham Rosales; his sister, Rosalinda Escobedo.

Honorary pallbearers will be; Ysidro Rosales, Xavier Rosales, Zackariah Rosales, Dycin Davis, and Caelen Horton.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 14, 2026, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be Friday May 15, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas.
