Howard Lee Adams, 93, passed away on Wednesday June 12, 2024, in Abilene, Texas.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas.
Howard was born on December 18, 1930, in Comanche, Texas to his parents Walter J. Adams and Birty Mae Adams. He entered into the Air Force in 1952 and proudly served 4 years. During his time in the Air Force he received a National Defense Service Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, a Korean Service Medal, and a U.N. Service Medal. Although Howard was known to be a very patriotic man, he was first and foremost a Christian. Howard strove to love like Jesus, and never tired of spreading the good news to all those around him. Howard would undoubtedly want all of his loved ones to remember that he is now free of his physical suffering and is rejoicing with his lord and savior.
Howard is survived by his son, David Adams and wife Sonja; his son, Brian Adams and wife Pam; daughters, Beverly Adams, and Sherri Hardy and husband Bill, and his sister Louise Hooks.
He is also survived by grandchildren; Brittani Wegand and husband Zak; Christopher Adams and wife Angie; Tate Vaughan and wife Shay; Elizabeth Oetting and husband Jason; Kristie Belcof and husband Chance; Stephen Miller and wife Katie; Jaden Largent and husband Justin; Jace Rhodes and fiancé Malloree; Brandon Adams and wife Jessica, Misty Fry, Preston Adams, Jimmy Allison, Melinda Allison, Cindy Allison, Magan Miller, James Hardy, Billy Hardy.
Howard is also survived by great-grandchildren Dexy and Zade Adams; Emily, Dylan, Tiger and George Gladden; Carson Miller; Kino and Frankie Belcof; Raleigh Hardy; Chloe, Gracie and Ashlin Oetting; Parker and Conner Miller; Kaylan, Colt, and Wyatt Adams; Christian and Morgan Zara; Mason Fry; Stetson and Emma Vaughan; Ashton Armstrong, and Brayden Adams.
Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Adams, and later preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Adams. He was also preceded in death by his father, Walter J. Adams; his mother, Birty Mae Adams; son, Michael Adams; son, Perry Adams; daughter, Melody Adams; brother, Sonny Adams; his sisters, Marie Wilson, Ina Altum, Linda Elmore, Timothy Allison and Brent Adams.
Howard will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
