Herbert Culp Iii

Herbert Virgil Culp, III, 76, passed away November 1, 2022, in Abilene, Texas. The funeral service will begin at 1:30 PM, Wednesday November 2, 2022, in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A visitation will begin after the service until 2:30 PM. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Herbert was born July 22, 1946, in Austin, Texas to Herbert Virgil Culp, Jr. and Annette Culp. Herbert graduated from Abilene High School in 1965. He enjoyed movies, records, tapes, electronics and classical music. He lived at Clyde Nursing Center for the past 9 years where he was named the "The Universal Undisputed True Dominator" in playing checkers. Above all Herbert was a Christian and loved his family with all his heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Herbert is survived by his siblings, Nan Bogart and husband John of Tuscola, Jan Lloyd and husband Tom of New Jersey, and Lanette Culp of Clyde; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Latson and husband Troy, Amy Norris and husband Robert, Angela Hefti and husband Dave, Chad Lloyd, David Bogart and wife Rachel, Les Bogart and wife Kerry, and Valerie Rysdeck and husband Rob; and numerous great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Fosters Home for Children in Stephenville.
