Harold Bryant Green, 93, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, in Abilene, Texas.
Harold was born on September 2, 1931, in Ranger, Texas to his father, Dr. Ernest R. Green Sr. and his mother, Berta L. Green. He married his loving wife Glenna on January 29, 1952 in Ranger, Texas they enjoyed 73 years of marriage together.
Throughout his years, he carried a spirit of tenacity, always motivated and task driven. As an amazing father and husband, he was deeply attentive, nurturing his family with love and steadfast support. Harold cherished the moments spent with them, pouring his heart into caring for his children.
For an incredible 43 years, Harold dedicated himself to Enserch Corp, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and perseverance. His career was not just a job; it was a testament to his steadfast nature. As a proud veteran who served in the Army National Guard for 27 years, he exemplified duty and honor, characteristics that molded much of his character.
His hobbies reflected a deep connection to nature and a love for the simple joys in life. Whether it was tending to his garden and his lawn, Harold found peace in working outdoors. He never met a stranger; his warm personality drew people in, making everyone feel valued and welcomed in his presence.
A god-loving man, Harold's faith was central to his life, guiding him through challenges and illuminating his path. He was a member of Abilene Bible Church for 20 years. His kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by his wife, Glenna Green; his daughter, Paula Exum and husband Jim; his daughter, Becky Green; his daughter, Lois Woods and husband Byron; his grandchildren, Rachel, Reyna, Nick, Lauren; his 9 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild and many other family and friends.
Harold is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Ernest R. Green Sr.; his mother, Berta L. Green; his sister, Marie Dumouchel; his brothers, Ernest R. Green Jr. And Fred A. Green.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like all donations to be made to Meals on Wheels.
