Glynn Dale "Pete" Beasley, 87, of Clyde passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021, in Abilene.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 US HWY 277 S., Abilene, TX. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home.
Pete was born on January 22, 1934, in Caldwell, TX., to the late Steve Beasley and Pearl Favors Beasley. He married the love of his life, Ruth Howe on January 22, 1958, in Abilene, TX. Pete proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He went to work for Merchants Motor Lines and retired after 30 years. He then drove for Roadway for another 10 years. Pete enjoyed hunting, fishing but most of all adored his family. He stayed active by delivering meals for Meals on Wheels. His sense of humor was shown by him giving everyone a special nickname.
Pete is survived by his loving wife Ruth Beasley; sons, Ricky Beasley (Suzanne), Terry Beasley (Sheila); grandchildren, Glynn Beasley, Terra Knight, Aaron Beasley, Chelsea Beasley, Kylea Bunn (Cody), Evan Beasley, Zachary Merrell, Sheyenne Russell; 16 great grandchildren; siblings, Pearl Lemay, Roy Lee Beasley.
