The funeral will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 in the Elmwood Funeral Home 5750 hwy 277 South. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Born on May 29, 1932, in Alvin, Texas, she was the cherished daughter of Harmon and Clarice Whitus. In 1972 she moved to the Big Country and soon became a part of the community.

Frances found eternal joy when she married the love of her life, Jack Pruett, on August 28, 1975. Their bond was a testament to the power of love and commitment until Jack's passing on December 14, 1993. Throughout their marriage, their love for each other served as an inspiration to all who knew them.

A woman of many talents, Frances found great pleasure in the simple joys of life. She had a passion for cooking, sewing, and tending to her beautiful flower bed. Throughout her life, she skillfully crafted numerous quilts, pouring her love and creativity into each stitch.

Frances was an active member of the Baker Heights Church since 1978, where she found purpose and fulfillment through serving others. Her heart was truly that of a servant, and she selflessly volunteered her time and energy within the church community. She was also a member of the 49ers club, dedicated to fellowship and spreading God's love.

In addition to her church involvement, Frances enjoyed engaging in social activities. She found delight in playing and hosting Bunko, forming lasting friendships with those she met along the way.

Above all else, Frances held an unwavering love for her family and a deep devotion to the Lord. Her children, Laquada Dorsett, Rick Northcutt and wife Julie, Barbara Haynes, and Art Northcutt, were the pride and joy of her life. She found immense happiness in their presence and cherished the time spent together. Frances also leaves behind her stepchildren, Jay Pruett and Bobbie Pruett, who held a special place in her heart.

Frances was blessed with three beloved grandchildren, Jimmy, Lana, and Shannon, who brought endless joy into her life. She was also a great-grandmother to three precious souls. Additionally, she is survived by her two sisters, Maudine Thackerson and husband Howard, and Irene Turner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members.

She is preceded in death by her adoring husband, Jack Pruett, her parents, Harmon and Clarice Whitus, and her brother, Daniel Lee Whitus. Frances also mourned the loss of seven sisters: Joyce Whitus, Betty Whitus, Shirley Beeks, Madie Criswell, Brenda Gotch, Laura Ann Whitus, and Linda Whitus. Furthermore, she grieved the passing of her son-in-law, Bill Haynes.

Frances Sue Pruett will forever be remembered as a woman of deep faith, compassion, and unwavering love. Her legacy of selflessness, devotion, and kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though we mourn her passing, we take comfort in the knowledge that she has found eternal rest in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father. May her soul rest in peace until we are reunited in the presence of our Lord.
