Eve Stock

Eve Vee Stock, 59, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM.

Eve was born on October 5, 1964, to Martha and Bill Smith. On April 28, 1984, she married the love of her life, Gary Stock, in Capron, Illinois. Gary proudly served in the United States Air Force for 22 years, and Eve was the steadfast foundation of their home, supporting the family with love and dedication.

She enjoyed staying active with Pilates and loved watching ghost series on television. Eve had a passion for collecting Precious Moments figurines and memorabilia from the many concerts she attended over the years. A devoted fan of Queen and Led Zeppelin, she often attended their concerts, with backstage passes more often than not.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Stock; her mother, Martha Ketchum Smith; stepfather, Bill Smith; father, Lawrence Foley; brother, Billy Smith; and sister, Diane Sherwin ; her father-in-law, Thomas Stock.

Eve is survived by her son Jeremy Stock (Courtney Stanley), and Anthony Stock (Sarah); her grandchildren, Everett Alan Stock, and Gwendolyn Thomas Stock; siblings: sister, Eva Foley Geron; brother, Jason (Nancy) Foley; brother, Mark Foley; brother, Michael Smith; sister, Donna Smith; and sister, Mary Jane Smith; good friend, Jody; her precious fur baby, Kiwi; Her beloved nieces and nephews include: Josh (Nicole) Segura, Melissa Segura (Jason Pasquale), Heather (Daniel) Perez, Cain Ketchum Geron, Mariah Ketchum Geron, Brandon Smith, Ryley Foley, Madison Foley, Autum Foley, Angela Sherwin, Chris Sherwin, Alan Wendt, Ian Wendt, Brent Wendt, Braxton Wendt, Derek Smith, Rebecca Smith Vasquez, Danaya Mull Cruz, and Breanna Mull Swengel.

She is also survived by her cherished grandnieces and grandnephews: Iker Segura, Ander Segura, Memphis Pasquale, Esme Pasquale, Logan Wendt, Melody Smith, D.J. Smith, Scarlett Smith, Mariah Smith, Mateo Cruz, Makenzie Cooper, Ashlynne Cooper, Emma Looze, Logan Sherwin, Ian Sherwin, and Madison Sherwin.

Eve's vibrant spirit, love for music, and devotion to her family will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
