Eusebio "Chevo" Miramontez, Jr. (Sam) passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023. He was born on October 12, 1951, in the small town of Rotan, Texas. He was the beloved son of Eusebio Miramontez, Sr., and Carmen Miramontez and grew up in the same tight-knit community that would always hold a special place in his heart.

At a young age, Eusebio answered the call of duty, exemplifying his unwavering commitment to service. He enlisted in the Army and valiantly served his country during the turbulent days of the Vietnam War as a dedicated soldier. Upon his return home, Eusebio embarked on a career in Auto Body Repair, using his skilled hands to bring new life to damaged vehicles. He also worked at Treanor Equipment, Abilene Auto Electric, and Kenny K Transmission.

Eusebio was more than just a diligent worker; he was a beacon of compassion and kindness. He had a heart of gold, and he was always the first to lend a hand to those in need. His unwavering generosity and selflessness left an indelible mark on the lives of those he touched, earning him the respect and admiration of all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.

Eusebio came to love the Dallas Cowboys. Additionally, he had a talent for leatherworking, a skill he cherished and shared with those close to him. His handcrafted leather creations served as a testament to his creativity and love for the craft.

Above all, Eusebio's deepest and most profound love was reserved for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, offering unwavering support, love, and guidance to those he held dear. His presence was a source of comfort and strength, and his wisdom and gentle nature enriched the lives of his loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eusebio Miramontez, Sr., and Carmen Miramontez.

Eusebio is survived by his wife, Jesusa (Jessica) Miramontez; his children, Crystal De La Paz (Roy), and Rachel Spinks (David); bonus children, Angel Flores (Cynthia), Clara Garza (Mason), Bocho Flores (Malia), and AJ Flores (Hannah), Leticia, and Glenda; his grandchildren, Izaiah, Xeniah, Colton, Nathan, Ethan, Liam, Elijah, Elena, Julianna, and Michael Reeves II; his siblings, Estela Miramontez, Rudy Miramontez (Wanda), and Nina Miramontez; and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is also survived by his long time special friends of 65 years; Bill Enriquez and Johnny Rodriquez.

A visitation will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM, Monday, October 23, 2023 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 hwy 277 South. Services will be officiated by Trino Paiz. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM, Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene.

The pallbearers will be Bill Enriquez, Mike Adams, Johnny Rodriguez, Jerry Jones, Sergio Hernandez, Izaiah De La Paz, and Colton Spinks.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Melnyk, Dr. Al Sayyad, Fresenius Kidney Care Abilene South, Hendrick Medical Center, and Hendrick Hospice for their care and love of Eusebio.
