They were married for 51 years when he passed in October of 2010. Eulalia graduated from Abilene High School and Hardin-Simmons University. She was an English teacher and coach. She coached Volleyball and Basketball but was an avid fan of all sports and loved competition. Eulalia followed football closely and often could tell you who was going to be in the super bowl before it had been decided. Eulalia also loved music and played the piano, organ and sang. She was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church for 55 years. She participated in the church choir. Eulalia was a loving devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. One of the last things she told her granddaughter was that she had so many friends.
Eulalia is survived by her daughter, Diana Bailey and husband Jimmy of Abilene; granddaughter, Kristi Hamilton and husband Daniel of Abilene; great grandchildren, Kaylee, Ella and Greyson Hamilton; nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Melmadoris Bantau Surface and brother, Morse Bantau.
The family wants to especially thank Hendrick Hospice for providing the highest quality of compassionate care for Eulalia. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Hendrick Hospice, 1651 Pine Street, Abilene, Tx, 79601.
