Etta Bowling

Etta Mary Bowling passed away on July 23rd, 2021, in Abilene Texas.

A visitation will be 10:00am, Monday, August 2nd, 2021, at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Abilene Texas 79606. A Funeral service will follow the visitation beginning at 11:30am. Interment will follow the service at The Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene.

Etta (Mary) was born July 4th, 1943, in Ana, Texas. She attended Bandera High School and Texas Western College. On June 17th1963, Mary married the love of her life Guy Bowling. Guy was in the United States Air Force and that gave the couple the chance to travel all over the world. They lived and visited many different cities and countries. Some of her favorite countries were Japan, Spain, Germany, Italy, and England. Mary loved visiting Paris, London and Amsterdam.
Mary was a bank teller for over 20 years in banks all over the world.
Her hobbies were reading and traveling. Above all she loved her family and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Travis and LaRhesa McNair; her daughter Pamela R Bowling; her sister Phyllis; and her great granddaughter, Macy Bowling.

Mary is survived by her husband of 58 years, Guy Bowling; her children, Travis Bowling (Ann), and Erik Bowling (Tacia); her grandchildren William Bowling (Allison), and Scarlet Bowling; Her great grandchildren, Hudsyn, Kylo, and Ezekiel; her siblings, Charles, Pamela, Ricky, Lois, and Ilene; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
