Encarnacion Joe Robeldo Orona, 92, passed away Saturday, in the Salem Veterans Medical Center,
Salem, VA. Twice married, he was the husband of the late Manuela Mendoza Orona and Lupe Chavarias Orona.
Born February 22, 1922 in San Antonio, TX, he was a son of the late Eugenio and Juanita Orona. He was retired from Celotex in Hamlin, Tx. He was of the Catholic faith and served in the U.S.Army and was part of the
DDay Invasion landing on the Utah Beach. He resided in Lynchburg, VA with his daughter Yolanda and soninlaw Michael for the past seven and half years in Lynchburg, VA. He had an unwavering faith in God and passionate love for his family.
He is survived by one daughter, Yolanda OronaWitt Michael of Lynchburg, VA five sons, Jose M. Orona Bernice of Union, WA, Hector M. Orona Barbara Shelton, WA, Cruz M. Orona Helen of Abilene, TX, Joe A. Orona of Puyallup, WA and Gerald Orona girlfriend Andrea of Puyallup, WA one brother, Silvester Orona of Uvalde, TX numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Angelo, Samuel and Cunie Orona.
