Edward Przybysz

November 26, 1945 — May 20, 2025

Edward Przybysz, 79, passed away on May 20, 2025, in Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 27,2025, followed by a brunch immediately after the service. A memorial and burial will take place at Elmwood Funeral Home & Memorial Park at 12:30 PM.

Edward was born on November 26, 1945, in Germany to Walter and Stefania Przybysz. He grew up alongside his siblings—Walter, Stanley, and Izabela Gajewski. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and now joins them in eternal rest. His beloved sister Izabela remains to cherish his memory.

Edward had a deep love for family that guided everything he did. From his first marriage to Halina Korzeniewski, he was blessed with two children, Ella Casey and Robert Przybysz. On June 16, 1990, he married Wladzia Lenckosz in Poland, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. Through this union, he became a proud stepfather to Gosia Melton and Mariusz Przybysz.

He was a devoted husband, a loving father and stepfather, and a proud grandfather to Eric and Ryan Schaller; Tony, Kyle, and Alexander Przybysz; and Johnathan and Justin Melton. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Natalie and Lucas Schaller. Edward was a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews who adored his warmth, his stories, and his gentle humor.

Edward had a love for travel, movies, and spending time outdoors—though he’d gladly skip setting up the tent. He also loved to dance.. Whether he was exploring new places or enjoying a quiet moment in nature, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Before settling in Abilene, Edward worked at Vienna Sausage in Chicago for 35 years. After relocating to Texas, he became a local business owner of the Antilley Inn and Best Western Mall South, where he continued to serve the community with dedication and pride.

For all of us he leaves behind, he didn’t truly leave us—he left us with memories full of love that will last a lifetime.
