Dr. Lewis

Dr. Donald E. Lewis of Abilene, 76, passed away on October 24, 2007 at a local hospital.

Dr. Lewis was born on July 3, 1931 in Paducah, Texas to Byrd Ray and Lucile Walls Lewis. He married Marian Crowson on July 7, 1968 in Abilene, TX; they enjoyed 39 years of marriage. He was a professor of chemistry at Abilene Christian University for 31 years; and he served as financial officer for the Slavic World for Christ ministry for 34 years. For 39 years he has been a member of the Minter Lane Church of Christ

He is survived by his wife, Marian Lewis of Abilene; daughter, Donna and husband, Richard Kendall; son, Paul and wife, Krista; two granddaughters; a sister, Nancy and husband, Dr. Everett Ferguson; and many nieces and nephews.
