Delores Hagens

Delores W. Hagens, 93, formerly of Abilene, Texas, passed away Saturday, December 24, in The Woodlands.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 30 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5410 Buffalo Gap Road, with Msgr. Fred Nawarskas officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elmwood Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hagens was born in Estelline, South Dakota and graduated from Estelline High School in 1941. She graduated from St. Mary's Nursing School and worked as a Registered Nurse for many years in a number of hospital and public health settings. She married Harvey Hagens in 1955 in Estelline, South Dakota. She and her husband returned to Abilene from Houston in 1985 and were members of Holy Family Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son, John Hagens, his wife Jackie of Spring and four grandchildren; Steven Hagens of San Antonio; Katie Terrill of Puyallup, Washington; Molly Hagens of Houston and Jack Hagens of Spring.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorials to be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
