David later moved back to Abilene to be closer to family. It was his move back to Texas that he met his best friends/brothers and became known as Supaa Dave. He attended Mann Middle School and graduated from Abilene High class of 2013.

David's life was so fulfilling. David loved his Abilene, Houston, Denton, and Austin family. David had a special bond with his uncles and aunts. He truly loved and celebrated life. He was a shining light of humor, wit, and laughs from the soul which is fitting for an April Fools baby. He loved cracking jokes, making funny videos, playing pranks on family and friends. His smile and presence would light up your day and light up the room. He was full of love for anyone he encountered, and David never met a stranger. He was known throughout the city of Abilene and could often be seen attending Abilene sporting events with Grandfather, Gill Carrion.

David also had a passion for cooking. He would call up family to share recipe tips. He would often cook just to have a family gathering. If you attended the yearly Abilene Fair, then you've probable had his mouthwatering brisket sandwiches.

David loved his daughter Kamdyn with all his heart. She was his joy and the apple of his eye.
