Clyde Phillippe Normand, 75, of Abilene, Texas died January 21, 2026 from complications of Agent Orange diseases.

Phil was born on December 18, 1950 in Evansville, Indiana to Clyta Mae (Hart) and Herve Joseph Normand. He graduated from Owensboro Senior High School, Owensboro, Kentucky, in 1969, where he enlisted in United States Army. He attended Boot Camp in Fort Knox, Kentucky. After successfully completing Jump School, he was shipped to Vietnam where he was attached to the 75th Ranger Regiment. He served a one year tour 1970-71. Phil served in the U.S. Army for twenty years. He retired in Alabama. Phil received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology. He worked in the Aerospace Industry for several years before total retirement.

Phil is preceded in death by his parents, Herve and Clyta Normand, and brother Herve Joseph Normand, II. He is survived by his wife Patricia Normand, five children, a stepson, six grandchildren, three sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
