Cleta Jo Kropp, of Abilene, Texas passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025 with her loved ones at her side.
Born on January 17, 1950 to Delbert and Melba O'Donald, Cleta was the baby of four children and only girl. Raised in Hamby on the family farm, she graduated from Abilene High School in 1968 and went on to be a beautician before settling into various customer service roles at the credit union and then West Texas Utilities for 17 years. It was her third career, caregiving, that her heart was made for. She started caring for her mom who had a stroke and went on to help care for her grandson, Braiden, who has special needs. Her heart was whole when she could care for others and that included cooking her famous lasagna, banana pudding, chicken enchiladas, and lemon icebox pie for her family. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and aunt.
Cleta was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Melba, and two brothers, Bobby and Billy O'Donald. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Billy Kropp, sons Wesley Mason and wife, Sonia, of Pflugerville, and Tyson Kropp of Tuscola, daughter Marci Boisey and husband, Derrick, of Abilene, and her prides and joy, her grandchildren Hayden, Braiden, Allie, Avvie, Ryan, and Cade, and her brother Doyle and wife, Denell of Meridian, TX.
