Clair Wickwire

Clair Walter Wickwire, 80, passed away on September 15, 2007 at a local hospital.

A Memorial Service with military honors will be 11:00 AM, Monday, October 22, 2007 at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Charles Farina officiating.

Clair was born on August 6, 1929 in Panama, New York to Fred and Winefred Anson Wickwire. He married Goldie Johnson in Kane, PA on April 13, 1948. He served in the United States Navy during World War II; and he worked as a security guard for many years. He was a life member of the VFW 6873 and a member of the American Legion Post 57.

He is survived by his wife, Goldie Wickwire of Abilene; son, Brian Wickwire; daughter, Karen Wickwire; sister- in- law, Janice Wickwire;

brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Curtis and Barbara Johnson; sister-in-law, Ruth Parker; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, William, and Raymond Wickwire.
