Cindy Lou Lopez

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Cindy Lou Lopez, who left us unexpectedly on May 25, 2026. Born to Felipe and Elva Lopez on August 23, 1965, Cindy was a cherished mother, proud grandmother, and a loving daughter, sister, and friend. She made her home in Abilene, TX, where she brought joy to everyone around her with her infectious smile and warm hugs.
Cindy was a remarkable woman who had a wild, spunky spirit. She loved spending time outdoors, but she was also a homebody at heart, enjoying cozy moments with her family and her beloved dog, Flex. As a true daddy's girl, she shared a special bond with her father, Felipe Lopez, and she adored her family deeply, including her sister Stella, brother Fabian and his wife Dianna, and her children and grandchildren-like her daughter Stephanie and son-in-law Armando, as well as her grandkids Alexzander, Brittney, and Alyssa.

Cindy leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her, including her niece Brianna Garcia and nephew Jayson Garcia. She was known for her big heart and playful spirit, as evidenced by how Joe her loving fiance lovingly said, "she was a handful."

Cindy is now reunited with her loved ones who have passed, including Paul and Leonor Hernandez, Securdino and Joefa Lopez, and her cherished dog companion Jarbo.

We invite you to join us in celebrating Cindy's life at Elmwood Funeral Home. There will be a visitation on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM followed by a funeral service at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The service will also be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person.

Cindy touched the lives of many, and her spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. Please join us in honoring her memory and the joy she brought to our lives.
