Charla Presley

August 12, 1980 — February 2, 2026

Charla Renee Presley, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, passed away in Abilene, Texas, on February 2, 2026, at the age of 45. Born on August 12, 1980, in Robinson, Illinois, Charla was the cherished daughter of Shirley Anne Camp and Charles C. Blankenbaker.

From her early years, Charla exhibited a brilliance and kindness that would define her life. A proud member of the National Honor Society during her time at a Catholic private school in Nauvoo, Illinois, she laid a foundation of academic excellence that she would carry forward. Charla earned her Certified Nursing Assistant credential at Lake Land Junior College and later pursued her passion for education at Abilene Christian University, graduating with high honors.

Charla dedicated herself to her community through her role as a substitute teacher with the Abilene Independent School District, inspiring countless children along the way. Her commitment to service didn't stop there; she became heavily involved in various Parent-Teacher Associations and offered her time to organizations including AISD and Patty Harper Dance Studio. As the office manager and backstage coordinator at Patty Harper Dance Studio, she brought joy to many through her love of dance and the arts. Alongside her husband, Charla was also a proud co-owner of Presley Farms, where they cultivated both their land and their dreams.

Above all, Charla was fueled by her passion for helping others. Her radiant smile and warm personality had a unique ability to light up any room, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her. In her passing, Charla has become a shining star in the heavens, continuing to spread her light and love.

Charla is preceded in death by her father, Charles Blankenbaker; her sister, Valerie Porter; and her stepfather, Carroll Deab Camp. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Thomas E. Presley; their three wonderful children, Jonathan, Jacob, and Jossalyn; her loving mother, Shirley Anne Camp; her grandmother, Brenda Fouty; her mother-in-law, Linda C. Cartwright; and her siblings, Randy Porter and Jessi Dee Hendrickson.

In remembrance of Charla's extraordinary life, services will be held at Elmwood Funeral Home on June 13th, from 10 AM to 12 PM. Friends, family, and all whose lives she touched are invited to gather to honor her legacy, share stories of her kindness, and celebrate the impact she made in her 45 years. Those who were fortunate to have known Charla are encouraged to come together in spirit and remembrance, carrying her love forward as we reflect on the beautiful journey of her life.
