Carolyn Ann Northcutt, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on September 26, 1942, in Coleman, TX to Baxter Sonny & Josephine Featherston.
Carolyn graduated from Abilene High in 1960 and dedicated much of her professional life to serving others as a loan officer. After her retirement she became the co-founder of Two Sisters Estate Sales with her sister, where she met & became friends with many people
Carolyn was a member of Beta Sigma Phi chapter Torchbearer mu. She was a big part of Fire & Ice Feast up until the last two years overseeing the football pots and helping in any way she could. She was also a member of The Society For The Preservation of Quaint Old Holmes.
She loved baseball, she coached her son Clay in Peewee & later became the first woman president at Lone Star Little League. She also got to watch her grandson Nixon play baseball, she never missed a game & often voiced her opinion. Carolyn loved to work in her yard, go fishing, going on a bike run riding on the back of a Harley, anything outdoors. She loved to travel, snow ski, go on cruises and beach vacations. Carolyn also had a special group of friends that meet every Friday and certain evenings of the month.
Carolyn's family was her pride and joy. She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Teri Ann Roberson; son, Clay Northcutt; grandsons, Nixon Roberson & Tanner Northcutt; sister, Sara Goldsmith; brother David Featherston and her three great- grandchildren, who lit up her life with their energy and laughter. Many neices & nephews and greats. She was preceded in death by her parents Baxter Sonny & Josephine Featherston.
As we gather to celebrate Carolyn's remarkable life, funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on November 8, 2025, at Elmwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM for those who would like to come and visit with the family and look back on Carolyn's life.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Judy Gibson for the excellent care she gave to Carolyn and to Kinder Hearts Hospice Care.
