Carl Wright

Carl T. Sonny Wright, 89, passed away Friday, November 23, 2007 at a local hospital.

Carl was born on August 6, 1918 in Dallas, TX. to Oscar and Carrie Saustad Wright. He married Marjorie Aldridge on February 14, 1948 in Dallas, TX. They were married 59 years. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked in the oil industry for many years; for 30 years he worked for Harbison-Fischer as a pump salesman and he retired in 1986. Sonny attended the Primitive Baptist Church in Lawn, TX for 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Wright of Abilene; daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Kent Finley of Coleman; granddaughter, Kelley Finley of Dallas; grandson, Chance Finley and wife Kristi of Abilene; great-granddaughter, Payton Finley of Abilene; brother-in-law, Amos and wife, Dorothy Aldridge of Lawn; sister-in-law, Pat Aldridge of Winters; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
