Bruce Jones

Bruce Jones, affectionately known as "BJ," passed away on April 1, 2026, in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and strength to all who knew him.

Funeral Services will be on April 10, 2026 at 2:00pm at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas. Visitation will be on Friday April 10, 2026 from 12:00pm to 1:30pm at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Bruce was born and raised with strong values of family, faith, and perseverance. He lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and a deep love for those closest to him. Whether sharing stories, offering guidance, or simply being there when needed, Bruce made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.

He leaves behind a legacy of love through his wife, Raven Bailey-Jones. His children, Raylin Coffield (Di'Nah Stanley-Coffield), Harmoni Bailey, Brookelyn Jones, Harlem Jones, and Capri Jones. Grandchildren: Braylin Coffield and BriElle Coffield, who were the pride and joy of his life. He also leaves to cherish his memory his siblings, Cashandra Jones, Camonica Jones, Tyeaishia Jones, Kimbo Matthews, Blondell Brown, Octavius Sansbury, Centirka Sansbury, Ja'Quise Sansbury, Jalayah Sansbury, and Kevin Thompson (Amber Spells-Thompson). His father Bruce Sansbury, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by his Mother-Josephine Jones, Grandfather-John Henry Jones and his sister, Keyanna Sansbury.

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
