Brian Yancy

Brian Forrest Yancy, 43, of Abilene passed away on Monday, July 21, 2008. His memorial service with the Reverend Derrell Patterson officiating will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1741 Sayles BLVD.

Brian was born on August 15, 1964 in Colorado City to Forrest D. Yancy and Loyce Milford Yancy. He graduated from Cooper High School in 1982 and attended Tarleton State University. He was a self-employed contractor and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He loved his family and had many friends.

He is survived by his mom, Loyce Yancy of Abilene; a sister, Cindy Johnston and husband, Tim of Plano; a brother, Bruce Yancy and wife, Linda of Eden; nieces, Kelly Broyles and husband, Ben of Abilene, Kimberly Yancy of Abilene, and Allison Johnston of Plano; nephew, Tim Johnston, II of Abilene; as well as an aunt, uncles and cousins.

His father and his grandparents preceded him in death.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the donors charity of choice.
