Brenda Gutierrez

Brenda Lee Gutierrez, 58, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021. A visitation will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Monday, August 2, 2021 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 3, 2021, in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Brenda was born July 23, 1963 in Abilene, Texas to Baldemar and Angelita Gutierrez. She graduated from Abilene High School in 1981. Brenda loved dancing, country music, Spanish music, and all things glitzy and girly. Her laugh was contagious and her spirit was one of a kind. More than anything she loved her family and being with them. She was very loved and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her father, Baldemar Gutierrez; her brothers, Albert Rodriguez, and Benny Guiterrez; her sister, Joann Olvera; her brother in law, Artie Olvera; her niece, Rosann Galvan; and her nephew, Benny Solis.
Brenda is survived by her mother, Angelita (Kela) Romero; her children, Lezlee Vasquez and her husband Manuel, Manuel Luna III, and David Luna Sr.; her grandchildren, Angel Vasquez, and David Luna Jr.; her sisters, Stella Galvan, Carmen Diaz and her husband Dalmacio, Doris Loredo and her husband Robert, and Becky Gamez and her husband Daniel; her brother, Baldamar Guiterez Jr.; sisters at heart, Alice Penns, and Elisa Martinez; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to help with funeral expenses, payments can be made directly to the funeral home.
