Born on November 21, 1932, in the tranquil embrace Of Comanche County, Ardis was the beloved youngest child Of William and Minnie Fisher, and was blessed with the company of twelve loving siblings. He grew up on ä farm, alongside his parents and siblings, where hard work was the norm from before daylight until the sun faded behind the horizon. He loved sports and was captain of his basketball team at Comanche High School and FHA Sweetheart.

An interest in business management led Ardis to Draughan's Business School in Abilene, which gave him the skills needed to work in management for the U.S. Postal Service, where he worked for 32 years. He loved fishing, boating, water skiing, traveling, cruising, and nurturing his garden, where he found solace and contentment. Summers were made special for his family, as they planned for and spent two-week long vacations every year.

His unwavering faith was a cornerstone of his life. As a faithful and dedicated member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, he found spiritual guidance and a sense of purpose, and is where he met his wife of 40 years, Lynda Lee. They spent endless hours on the dance floor, where they ultimately fell in love and married on Valentine's Day.

Ardis is preceded in death by his parents and his 12 siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda Lee Fisher; his daughters, Wanda Fisher, Judy Wimberly and husband Richard, Debby Williams and husband Randy, and stepson, Jay Dennis and wife Erica; his grandchildren, Jason Putnam and wife Naty, Chad Putnam and wife Aimee, Buck Wimberly and partner Joey, Mike Wimberly and wife Julie, Syvette Keathley and husband Matthew, Summer Willig, Jesse Williams, Joseph Williams, Charity Jones and husband Tim, Brooke McIntosh and husband Ryan, Aubree Williams, Heath Williams, Sybree Foster and husband Quinten, Victoria Hanson and husband Jake, Jade Williams; and step-grandchildren, Tess Dennis, and Gus Dennis; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
