Annette Anderson - Rogers was born July 02, 1958 to Sammy Ray Anderson and Margaret Jiles Anderson in Tyler, TX who preceded her in death. Annette moved to Abilene, TX in 1971 with the Late Johnny and Jimmie Jiles who also preceded her in death. Annette graduated from Abilene High School in 1976. After graduation she moved to Dallas to be closer to her sister Jeannette. When she decided to move back to Dallas she worked with her sister Jeannette at Southern Crest Learning Center. Later Annette and Jeannette opened their own daycare, Customized Learning Center where she was a teacher and bus driver. She enjoyed her job, the kids and being a part of their lives tremendously.
Eventually she decided to marry Billy Ray on January 6, 2006 and returned to Abilene where she worked as a bus driver for City Link until September 2019. Annette peacefully passed away on November 16, 2019.
Billy Ray Rogers preceded her in death February 4, 2018. She and Billy Ray raised their children Sherell Rogers Durham (Dallas,TX) and Carolette Anderson (Earl Rudd of Duncanville,TX) , her stepson who has always been her son, Brandon Rogers, and her stepdaughters Sonya and Tonya Williams.
Her life story reflects many years of unyielding faith, honesty, loyalty and kindness. Everyone Annette came in contact with fell in love with her infectious smile. She never meet a stranger, no matter where you stood in life she treated you equally. She loved her bus riders, as they became family to her. Halloween was one of her favorite holidays as she liked to dress up. She loved traveling with her sister, daughters, grand kids and friends. She was always ready for anything her van stayed packed and ready to roll. What a fabulous time we had to share our most memorable moments of our lives. Annette truly left a Legacy of Love.
She leaves to cherish her memories her grandchildren Aiden, Essence, Lan’Dre, Andre Jr, Jevon, Den’Ahron, Bentlee, Gizelle , Malik, Markell, Yasmine, Jordan and her only great grand daughter Brooklynn Russell. Also her Brother Robert (Melony Anderson of (Corsiscana) and sister Jeannette
