"We will miss Mike Osborn. He coached my daughter, Shannon McIlroy, in gymnastics for four years under the Abilene YMCA Twisters team. She learned her first gymnastics. He was a outstanding coach and mentor. Thanks to Mike she continued her career in gymnastics as a coach, and P. E. teacher.
Roy and Vivian Bamberg express condolences to the family.
God Bless You at this time of grief for your loss. You will be remembered in our prayers."
"Mike was one of my favorite bosses. This is depressing news."
"I am sorry for your loss.
"I am saddened to hear of the passing of Mike. He was my gymnastics coach at the Y as we called it, for many years. I think from the time I was about 7 until I went to high school and was on the team at Cooper. Mike was a great coach - to this day I can remember some of the "strength tests" we did (although I can't do any of it now) and he really helped many of us realize our dream of being "gymnasts". Mike travelled all over with many of us and gave up countless weekends to be on the road with his team. It is unlikely that I will be able to make it into town for the services, but I wanted the family to know our thoughts and prayers are with you and that I carry with me many happy memories of being a gymnast with Mike as my coach. Much Love, Holly Humphrey Tucker"
"I attended gymnastics at the YMCA for around 7 years. My mom always teases that Mike raised me. Mike was a huge part of my childhood. I can't hardly think back to a time that didn't involve him in some way. He helped to mold me into the adult that I am today. My values and work ethic are all because of him and my parents. He will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered. I hope he knew how much he touched my life.
