I served in the Army.

On Tuesday, November 28, Michael B Williams passed away in his home peacefully, and is now in the embrace of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven.

Mike was born on May 19, 1928 in Goosecreek, Tx, to Walter Guy Williams and Fanny Mae Findley Williams. Mike grew up in and around the Abilene, Tx area. At the age of fourteen, he moved to California alone and finished high school there while supporting himself.

From the age of eighteen, Mike worked in many military operations including the US Merchant Marines, the Navy, the Coast Guard and the Army. In 1949, he graduated from California State Maritime Academy. He later studied at Rutgers University focusing on industrial engineering.

Mike was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1961, having received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal while in service.

Mike was a beloved husband and father, faithful church member, great storyteller, constant inventor, and real estate deal maker. He was well known for his strong handshake and his word of honor.

Mike is survived by his wife Jonelle Williams of 47 years, his children Michael Click, Mark Williams, Pat Click, David Click and wife Kathy, and Joni Click, as well as his grandchildren Desiree Klammer, Brandi Rougeux, Ashley Herron, Lauren Sanchez and husband Ricky, and Dustin Click. He was also lucky to have had four great grandchildren, Carson Gates, Wyatt Rougeux, Hailey Rougeux, and Kagney Klammer.

The visitation is at Elmwood Funeral home on Sunday, Dec 3, 2017 from 2:00-4:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec 4, 2017 at 10:00 am at Abilene Bible Church followed by the interment at Elmwood Memorial Park.
