I was friends with Vicky in high school. Though I have not seen her since, I have kept up with reunion news, photos, and updates through Cindy on Facebook. Vicky has remained the sweet girl I used to know. I am sorry for the loss of your mother. She will be missed by so many people whose lives were impacted by her sweetness.

I am so thankful for our visit last Sunday. That was a gift of life like no other the time Vicki, David and I spent together. She was such a precious friend to us all, and we are all blessed to have had the time we did with her. Sweet memories will always remain of all the fun times we shared with many of our friends. May she rest in peace and peace be to David in your most precious loss. I love you!

Heaven has gained another angel, cheerleader and mentor. Those are the words that come to my mind when I think about Vicky. She was always there, waiting at the door of any Chamber event to hug me. She encouraged me to follow my dreams and to aspire to be the best person I could be. She gently showed me what grace and love for others looked like. Although, I have moved from Abilene now to follow a dream, I'll still miss seeing her at Chamber events when I would come to visit. Lord open your arms wide and hug her the way she hugged all of us here on Earth. Prayers of comfort for the family. Rest in Peace my friend, your work is done.

I knew Vicky through my work as Special Sections Editor at Abilene Reporter-News. Together, we worked on many Abilene Chamber of Commerce Publications for around seven years. I grew to love and respect her for her passion for accuracy in dealing with each and every Chamber member. She challenges me to become the best I could be at designing, editing and producing the many annual Chamber publications. She was a beautiful, caring soul.
