She was a girl scout leader for several years, but prided herself on being a “household engineer”. Ruth loved family and having her grandkids around.
She is survived by one daughter, Carla Beth Gerhart and husband Walter; two grandchildren, Carolyn Kay Akin and husband David of Roy, Utah; and Casey Michelle Preissinger and husband Jacob of Ft. Worth; four great-grandchildren, Kathwryn Ann Kilpatrick, Alex Akin, Keeley and Uny Preissinger; and one sister, Rita Williams of Rockwall, Texas.
Carla: I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was always a bundle of happy; positive and full of love. I know she had a long life and all that, but I know you will miss her. Our thoughts and prayers will be with during the coming months. Would love to see you. If you can find the time please send me a phone number, address or email for yourself. I don't want to lose track of you, my sweet cousin! Love, Donna

We are filled with wonderful memories of Ruth and Jack and friendships that endure over the years. Ruth was one of those fun loving women who brightened the mood of all who knew her. We are out of town and will not be able to attend the service. Give our love to all of your family for us. We love you and know you will miss Ruth so very much.
