Kimberly Sue Clark, 43, died Friday, April 4, 2008 at her home in Jones County. Viewing and visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, April 7th at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South. Her funeral service with Mark Hewitt officiating will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 8th in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Reflection Garden at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Kimberly was born on June 22, 1964 in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was raised in Germany and in Abilene. She graduated from Cooper High School and attended the University of Maryland and Pima Medical School. She married Jay Clark in 1984 and while Jay pursued a career in the Air Force they were stationed in Germany, North Dakota, Belgium, and Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1995, Kim began a career in law enforcement with Taylor County and later worked as a Sociologist with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, retiring in 2006 due to illness. She was active in community fund raisers, supporting Relay for Life, and the Childrens Cancer Foundation.

Kim had many talents. In 2003, she designed and decorated her new home in Jones County, and she loved making things for her children, nephews, and recently her new granddaughter. She loved to shop, and could find a bargain anywhere, and she enjoyed working outside with her flowers and plants. She was passionate in everything she undertook, and when determined, let nothing stand in her way.

Kim has been an inspiration and a mentor, not only to her family, but to others who are battling cancer. In her many roles, as wife, mother, granny, sister, aunt and friend, she has been a guardian angel and the foundation of her family. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her husband, Jay of Jones County; two sons, James Clark of Phoenix, Arizona, and Jase Clark and fianc, Samantha McDonald of Abilene; her parents, James Wilcox of Atlanta, Georgia and Sharon Wilcox of Crestview, Florida; her brother, Shannon Wilcox and wife Melinda of Abilene; nephews, Landon and Dalton Wilcox. her sister, Charissa Hynson and husband Richard of Florida; and granddaughter, Avery McDonald.
