Faye Clinton, 98, of Abilene passed away Monday, September 25, 2017. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rodney Watson officiating. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Born in Joshua, Texas, on December 8, 1918, Faye was the second oldest of George and Coraetta Critz' ten children. All of her siblings preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Sweetwater High School and married the love of her life, Lonnie C. Clinton, on January 8, 1941. After retiring from the Abilene State Supported Living Center, Faye devoted her time to her children and grandchildren and was always crocheting treasured throws and afghans for them. Faye was a faithful member of Lytle South Baptist Church and a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She will forever be in our hearts and dearly missed always.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie C. Clinton; her son, Charles Clinton (March 1, 2017) and an infant son, Randy Clinton; her parents; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters.

Faye is survived by her son, Sherman Clinton and wife Claudia; her daughter, Marrietta Proctor; her son, Johnny Clinton and wife Jane; her son, Clifford Clinton and wife Yvonne; her daughter-in-law, Paulette Clinton; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and friends. Grandsons Chris, Jason, Eric, Colby, and Casey Clinton and a great-grandson, Shane Stilson, are serving as pallbearers for their beloved grandmother.

The family would like to thank the staff of Windcrest Health Care Center, Big Country Hospice, and Generations Home Health for the care and dedication you provided for our mother.
